Embedded Systems Engineer (Hybrid | Denver, CO)
Part-Time | $24-$32 per hour | Flexible Hours | 401(k) Eligible After 3-Month Review
RV Solar Connections is seeking a talented and driven Embedded Systems Engineer with experience in ARM-based system development and software applications to assist with the design and implementation of products and services in the renewable energy sector.
We value curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to research, develop, and implement innovative solutions, fostering greater connectivity between systems while delivering technical insights to help us achieve the best results possible.
This position offers training in renewable energy systems for candidates looking to expand their expertise in this field.
Key Responsibilities
As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will:
- Identify hardware and software requirements to integrate various platforms seamlessly.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance system cohesion, connectivity, and data sharing.
- Become a subject matter expert in multiplex systems, such as CZone, Firefly, Garmin Empirbus, and similar platforms.
- Design schematics for multiplex systems, including local servers, monitoring and control interfaces, I/Os, and networking components for secure remote access.
- Create and maintain detailed SOPs and documentation to streamline implementation processes.
- Stay updated on advancements in embedded systems and renewable energy technology.
Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- Curiosity and drive to learn.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Protocols & Interfaces: CANbus, MQTT, Modbus, RVC, NMEA2000, Signal K
- Software Tools: Node-RED, HTML5, Home Assistant
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: 3+ years of experience in embedded engineering.
- Bonus: Education – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Pay & Compensation
- Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week)
- Pay: $24-$32 per hour
- Benefits: Holiday PTO; Eligibility for 401(k) after a 3-month review
