NMEA 2000 Backbone or Drop and connectors are the industry standard for data communication between shipboard electronic devices. Is a low-cost data network that runs at 250 Kbps and uses a Controller Area Network (CAN) integrated circuit (IC). It allows multiple electronic devices to be connected together on a common channel to easily share information.
